Since mid-October, CFFP has been navigating a crisis that began as legitimate criticism but has since spiraled out of control, with disinformation, false accusations, and online violence now overshadowing any factual contributions.

Following the guidance of experts on disinformation, we have made the decision to withdraw fully from the online space to protect our team. At this point, the safety and security of our team remain our priority. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this time and consider the best path forward for our team and organization.

Recently, we have noticed an increase in targeted actions against our organization, which now include cybercrime tactics such as scammers impersonating us to deceive individuals. Please note that official CFFP email addresses always end with @centreforffp.org. We are committed to transparency, which is why we are sharing this information openly.

In the meantime, please follow these best practices to protect yourself from phishing and scam emails:

  • Carefully verify the sender’s email address, as scammers often use slight misspellings or extra characters to appear legitimate.
  • Avoid clicking on links or opening attachments from unknown sources.
  • Be cautious of warning signs like urgent demands for payment, requests for personal information, or unusual grammar and formatting.
  • Report any suspicious emails to your email provider immediately.
