Building Bridges, Empowering Voices

Our events bring together changemakers from diverse fields to challenge the status quo and work towards a more inclusive and equitable future.

Redefining Security: An Example of Our Influential Events – Women’s Voices at the Munich Security Conference

Since 2022, the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, in collaboration with the influential feminist network FRAUEN100, has been hosting one of the most distinguished events at the annual Munich Security Conference – the CFFP x FRAUEN100 Feminist Women’s Dinner. This event stands as a key example of the type of impactful initiatives we regularly organise, embodying the core values of our work and serving as a model for all our future events. As part of one of the world’s leading forums on foreign and security affairs, the dinner provides a dedicated platform for women to take up space, foster solidarity, and advance the principles of feminist foreign policy.

Each year, the dinner gathers approximately 70 of the most influential women attending the Munich Security Conference. Our esteemed guests include foreign and defence ministers, leaders of prominent organisations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, Nobel Peace Laureates, journalists, activists, Members of Parliament, human rights defenders, and notable public figures.

Over the past two years, distinguished speakers at the MSC Dinner Event have included:

– German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock,
– Liberian Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee,
– Ukrainian Nobel Laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk,
– Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez,
– Iranian Hollywood actress and activist Nazanin Boniadi,
– German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser,
– Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas,
– Philippine Nobel Peace Laureate Maria Ressa,
– US-American Nobel Peace Laureate Jody Williams,
– Nobel Peace Laureate Beatrice Fihn
– Executive Director of Human Rights Watch Tirana Hassan.

The 2024 edition of the CFFP x FRAUEN100 Feminist Women’s Dinner continued this proud tradition, bringing together changemakers from politics, business, and civil society. Centring on urgent global security challenges, the evening focused on reimagining solutions through a feminist lens, inspiring bold ideas, and fostering meaningful collaboration.

This unique event has become a cornerstone of our work, reflecting our unwavering commitment to amplifying feminist perspectives in global decision-making spaces.
