Since 2022, the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, in collaboration with the influential feminist women’s rights network FRAUEN100, has proudly hosted one of the most distinguished events at the annual Munich Security Conference – the CFFP x FRAUEN100 Feminist Women’s Dinner. As a prominent side event at one of the world’s leading forums on foreign and security affairs, the dinner serves as a powerful platform for advancing feminist foreign policy and fostering solidarity among women leaders.
Created both for and by women, these dinners are a unique space for networking, dialogue, and collaboration. They bring together approximately 70 of the most influential women attending the Munich Security Conference, including foreign and defence ministers, leaders of renowned organisations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, Nobel Peace Laureates, journalists, activists, Members of Parliament, human rights defenders, and notable public figures.
At our 2023 dinner, we were honoured to welcome German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Liberian Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee, Ukrainian Nobel Laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk, Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez, and Iranian actress and activist Nazanin Boniadi as keynote speakers. These remarkable women inspired thought-provoking discussions and exemplified the power of feminist leadership in addressing global challenges.
Our 2024 CFFP x FRAUEN100 Feminist Women’s Dinner took place on 16 February as an official side event of the Munich Security Conference. We were thrilled to welcome an extraordinary lineup of keynote speakers, including:
- Kaja Kallas, Estonian Prime Minister
- Maria Ressa, Nobel Peace Laureate
- Beatrice Fihn, Nobel Peace Laureate
- Tirana Hassan, Executive Director of Human Rights Watch
