In recent years, growing concerns regarding an increasingly “insecure” and “hostile” cyberspace have placed the concept of “cybersecurity” at the forefront of militarised national security agendas around the world. We are working with international civil society and national governments to highlight the danger of such a militarized, state-centric understanding of security which places the protection, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the state at the centre of their response, and advance a feminist understanding of the cyberspace which focuses on the protection and well-being of individuals and communities across the world.
